Got rained on again…Seems like it’s becoming a common occurrence. Spent the week in Aitkin County, working on a quad trail system. Specifically, we were installing what is known as geo-block into lowland bog areas. It’s purpose is to stop erosion from the 4 – wheelers and still allow plant growth. It is pretty expensive and is very new technology. It is the first install of this stuff in the lower 48. It was introduced in Alaska, and word has spread down here. Here are some pictures of us at work.

Had a neat campsite next to the Mississippi. There was an old railroad bridge that was converted to use in the same atv trail that we were working on.

That was the week…Next came the weekend. On a whim me and a couple of friends decided to take a trip to Duluth, and the north shore of Lake Superior. I’m glad we did too it was a lot of fun. Here are a couple of pictures from that adventure.

I have a lot of pictures, but am too lazy to load them all, sorry guys. Hope Tuesday was good to you. This week we are doing trail work, I’ll try to get some pictures of that…hard work, I’m tired…Going to drink a beer and watch the cubs, do not disturb

Yeah I had a lot of good pictures this week, I really like the one with my tent and the fire and the rainbow. We were trying to start that fire and it freaking started raining on us, for like the 400th time, but we got her started and the rain let up.

I like the bridge over the reflective stream.
One feller said it was cold and the other said it was deep. Oh and one of them was from Arkansas, um hmm.

UR - That photo I actually stole from a buddy on my crew, I had some pictures that were close to that one, but I liked it the best too, so I stole it

Also, how come I always feel like I can't place where you crazy quotes come from? I swear I can quote any movie, or song I've ever heard...except the ones you choose to repeat
Anne - No photo class, I have always enjoyed taking pictures...I think the main trick is taking a bunch of them and picking the best, and when something cool happens remember the fact that you have your camera with you. Truth be told I probably wouldn't take as many pictures as I do if it wasn't for this blog and me wanting to show everyone what I do, because explainging it is just too hard sometimes. Glad you like the photo's!!!
Bern - You would have really liked the drive into this work site, with all of the puddles and mud. Most all of the quads these guys ride with up here aren't sport quads. They are big 4x4's with winches on them, the 'ol blaster may have had a little trouble making it through these trails.

"They was these 2 fellers standin'on a bridge goin' to the bathroom. One feller said that the water was cold. The other feller said the water was deep... I believe one feller come from Arkansas."
